The Sandusky County Sanitary Engineer's Office was established by the Board of County Commissioners in 1975 to provide sanitary sewer and water services to residents of Sandusky County.
Our mission is to provide the best possible service at reasonable costs to each of our customers. This means acting quickly and efficiently to solve problems and answer complaints, and to maintain the facilities in the best possible condition by utilizing just and honest principles.

RATE INCREASES:
For all customers that have City of Fremont Treatment as part of your sanitary sewer utility bill, the City of Fremont raised the treatment charge effective April 1, 2024.
MISCELLANEOUS FEE INCREASES:
Service Application Fee is increasing to $20.00 effective January 1, 2024.
Water Service Turn-On Fee is increasing to $50.00 effective January 1, 2024.
Permit Charges are increasing to $400.00 effective January 1, 2024. An additional $100.00 for an Electrical Inspection for a sewage grinder pump system under County operation & maintenance.
SANITARY SEWER CONNECTIONS FOR WIGHTMAN’S GROVE:
Information packets (see link below) were sent out to each property owner outlining the requirements to perform the connections.

UPCOMING PROJECTS:
1. The Sanitary Engineers is working with Thomas Porter Architects of Toledo, Ohio for Architectural Services for future building renovations. Preliminary layouts are currently being developed for the existing building where the Sanitary Engineers is located.
2. The Sanitary Engineers is working with ms consultants of Columbus, Ohio on a General Plan for the Rice Township Water Improvements.
